Company History

May 1995 - West Bridge Kft. is established

In the beginning the company was engaged in the wholesale trade of various lubricants, and then raw materials for the plastic industry. In order to reduce costs, the company started to deliver its goods and products on its own in a single vehicle.

October 1998

the company's path towards the delivery of dangerous goods was an opportunity received from TOTAL Hungária Kft. In this period there were two vehicles put into operation to carry out transportations with. In the spring of 1999 the number of vehicles rose to six.

As a professional investor West Bridge Kft. also obtained a 30 percent interest in Tankautó Kft. where its job was to meet the demands of ARAL Hungária Kft. and transport goods to the latter's network of service stations.

Year 2000

The quantity of fuel transportd by West Bridge Kft. amounted to 200 million liters. At this time our company management started realize that though the market's strong division enabled further growth, development was possible only if West Bridge Kft. would offer comprehensive services for its customers including a wide range of auxiliary services connected to transportation. Such services would be: stock optimization, data processing as required by customers, freight planning Our company took part in, and as the bidder proved to be the best based on a professional evaluation, won the privatization tender 'MOLTRANS' invited by MOL Rt.; however, MOL's top management changed its decision and cancelled the award.

Year 2001

In order to ensure a continuous development and provide services on the highest possible level, the company's top management made a strategic decision in 2001 to establish and deploy a quality management system that would comply with Standard EN ISO 9001:2001.

June 2003

West Bridge Kft. submitted a bid to a tender invited by OMV Ag for 3 years of fuel transportation, was assessed favorably, and received an opportunity to start transportation. This was considered to be a significant growth in the company's life since the transportation quantity planned for 2004 amounted to 450 million liters. In addition, West Bridge Kft. acquired a 100 percent interest in Tankautó Kft., and thus managed to integrate its operational activities within Tankautó into its own organization. Naturally, WEST BRIDGE KFT. was developing its infrastructure, its fleet, its staff and IT base to be able to meet the demands created by a job of this size.

In addition to obtaining qualification ISO 9001:2001, our Company also acquired ISO 14001:1997 in environment management, and ISO 28001:2003 in work health and safety. West Bridge Kft. managed to meet Conoco Phillips HSEQ's expectations, and thus started transportation to the latter's service stations. In November that year, West Bridge as the Hungarian partner company to the Bonifer transportation company group got a 5-year transportation contract to supply to EXXON MOBIL's network of service stations, and also started transportations to LUKOIL Hungária Kft. The first subsidiary was established in Romania and named TRANSSOLUT. Behind this step was the company management's realization that the company could become a strategic partner to its existing customers only if regional synergies were accomplished via an international presence. At this time, our company was already using 40 vehicles for its operative activities. First subsidary named Transolut Romania was established

Year 2005 - 2006

West Bridge Kft. was accepted at EXXON company group’s HAULER ASSESMENT audit and managed to reach 80 percent for the first time. As a new activity, we started to transport goods for the bitumen industry. The volume transportd yearly reached an amount of about 700 million liters. A subsidiary named TRANSSOLUT Serbia was established.In December a strategic alliance was made with one of Europe's biggest haulers of dangerous goods, the Charles André company group. This alliance was formed to submit joint bids to potential international transportation tenders.

Jiko Trans s.r.o.

Tamás Illés has acquired a 75 percent interest in a company seated in Hrobce (Czech Republic) engaged in the transportation of bitumen and silo, JIKO TRANS. The fleet has been expanded by 350 percent as against Y2005. Thanks to acquisition West Bridge recognized the regional possibilities in bitumen transporting. Today JIKO Trans is operating 14 vehicles on it’s region like Czech, Slovakiaia , Austria, and Germany.

This Company is 100% owned by Tamas Illés. Began It's activities in 2007 today is operating with 6 vehicles in It’s region Romania and Hungary.


2007.

In cooperation with our German partner company's Hungarian subsidiary, ABS Bonifer Hungary Kft., we are continuing transportations for OMV Hungária Kft. LUKOIL acquires JET-Conoco Phillips's service stations in Hungary, while LUKOIL’s transportation requirements, and thereby the number of our assignments are increasing. The freight assignments given by BHG Bitumen Kft. and OMV Hungária Kft. to us encourage us to expand our fleet again in the field of bitumen transportation. West Bridge wins a tender invited by MOL Nyrt. for transporting crude oil and bitumen, thus the transportation of crude oil is started in the Hungarian Big Plain (Alföld) in cooperation with Baltrans Kft. (GCA’s subsidiary in Hungary) in September 2007 with 7 trucks.


2008.

Early 2008 we start to meet MOL Nyrt.'s requirements for transporting bitumen to Romania, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Company also manages to win AGIP Hungária Zrt.'s and LUKOIL Magyarország Kft.’s tender thus the quantity of fuels transported jumps to 800,000 million liters/year. After a positive valuation sulphur is added to West Bridge’s portfolio the transportation of which is to be started based on a MOL Nyrt. order in 2009.
